On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama was inaugurated in front of millions of people and officially announced the president of the United States of America. This day was very important in history not only because we got a new president, but also because he was the first ever African American to become president of the United States.
During the inauguration, President Barack Obama gave a speech that was both practical and hopeful for the country. He understood his responsibilities and swore to fulfil them. Not only that, but he even acknowledged the fact that the country was going through very bad economic problems and that he would try his hardest to help the country get back in shape.
Throughout his campaign, Barack Obama has fascinated not only the citizens of America, but also people from around the world in other countries and nations. He understands how hard he will have to work in his years of presidency and is determined to do whatever he can to help America get out of the economic crisis its stuck in. With Barack Obama as the president, there are many expectations from citizens who know Barack Obama will do the country good.
After watching the inauguration and reading articles about Barack Obama, it is no doubt that he won't work his hardest. My opinion in this topic is that I think Barack Obama will be a great president for the United States and that he won't let the country down.
